
Daniel Joiner is a well-trained, thoughtful, and innovative Christian artist in the Tampa Bay area. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano Performance from Stetson University and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from USF. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at Southeastern University and St. Petersburg College. He has performed at various public venues in Tampa including Busch Gardens and the Tampa Bay Times Forum as well as for many private events. He has opened for Denver and the Mile High Orchestra on two occasions within the past year and has performed at several churches in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tallahassee and Tampa. He serves as Sunday morning pianist for Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz, FL. Through Idlewild, he has done musical missions work in Cuba, New Orleans, New York, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. In 2008 and 2010, he served with Camp Kirkland in Russia on jazz big band missions trips. In his career, he has recorded three albums: the 2007 jazz trio release entitled “A Different Standard,” the 2012 solo piano release “Hymn Conceptions," and the 2014 solo piano release "Joy at Christmas Time." Daniel Joiner’s vision for music ministry is to present fresh arrangements of great hymns and songs of the faith that will touch the lives of believers and prompt heartfelt worship. To achieve this, he utilizes many different styles of music including jazz, classical, gospel, Latin, blues, Irish, and Bossa Nova. These arrangements combined with testimony, congregational worship, and historical/devotional thoughts about each song will offer a creative and worshipful concert experience for your church.
